Donato represents spectacular genetics no matter what color, but as a Grey, he is amazing. I sold his mother to Crescent Moon in 2005, perhaps a mistake! When Coco Chanel produced Donato, I knew I would like to get her genetics back on my farm. We all realized Donato had star power early on. Sleek and macho good looks, meant all that remained was the growing up. Well grown-up he did, into a beautiful specimen of handsome style, off the chart density, and fineness and crimp to covet. The Crescent Moon family and I collectively have great hopes for this Futurity Champion. Donato’s excellent density is a starting point when talking about his glossy and silvery gray fleece. Part that density and you will find advanced staple development, good fineness and abundant definition within the staple. Donato means gift and we have seen enough alpacas to know that he is just that!
